Aced the Evening

  • Kendrick “Necromancer” Nunn went from “none” teams drafting him to scoring the most points by an undrafted player in his first five games. Nunn led the Heat to a 106-97 win over the Hawks with a team-high 28 points on 10/15 field goal shooting including 4/6 from long distance. Nunn now has 112 points through five ghoulish games
  • Jahlil “Jack O’ Lantern” Okafor lit up the scoreboard with a team-high 26 points to go along with 5 rebounds, 2 steals and a team-best +19 in the Pelicans’ first win of the season, 122-107, over the Nuggets
  • Kawhi “Costume is T-Shirt with Nametag” Leonard poured in 38 points on a career-high 32 shots against his former team, the San Antonio Spurs, while grabbing 12 boards and four steals in the Clippers six-point win
  • Montrezz “Frankenstein’s Monster” Harrell was a menace in the 103-97 LAC win himself, coming off the bench for 24 points on 9/11 shooting from the field

Quirks of the Night

  • Jimmy BOOOOtler wasn’t getting Buckets, scoring only 5 points in the game, but had 11 assists, nine rebounds and six steals in the winning effort
  • Michael Porter Jr or MP-JUST GIVE US YOUR CANDY was a treat for Nuggets fans in his NBA debut, scoring his first points of the season on a nifty drive, and then adding some more in 21 minutes, finishing with 15 points and four rebounds in the game

Needs Improvement

  • Cam “Blood” Reddish was a team worst -18 for the game, finishing 2/11 from the field while trying to fill the unfillable Trae Young void
  • LaMarcus AHHHHHHHldridge was scary in his own right for the Spurs, posting only five points and five rebounds with three turnovers in 36 minutes of play

NBA Twitter Table Talk

  • Josh “Happy Halloween” Hart passed the Ballbonic Plague to rookie teammate Jaxson “Less Happy Halloween” Hayes in devilish fashion
  • DeAndre’ “Bats” Bembry closed the first quarter and punctuated an 8-0 Hawks run with a dunk so scary many in attendance had to call their mommas
  • Brandon “I’m Scrrrrd” Ingram added a monster jam of his own that had teammate Zion “Werewolf Bar Mitzvah” Williamson screaming
