Chandler’s Gambling Corner: Week 12 Picks

After three weeks of studying the patterns of this NBA season, Chandler’s Gambling Corner is back and it’s time to win some money. After going 0-4 a few weeks ago, we are now 20-31-1 and down $1,544.67. No worries though, we are due.

Like always, all lines pulled from https://www.betonline.ag/sportsbook/basketball/nba

Bet #1: The over (210) in Miami at Indiana for -110 odds. While both teams are good defensive teams, Indiana does not match up well with Jimmy Butler and others on the Heat. Jimmy should be able to score and distribute efficiently with the Pacers lacking quality wing defenders. Also, it is not too much to ask for teams to finish over 210, I would consider it more likely to hit the over than the under.

Bet #2: Houston to cover the spread (-8) in Atlanta for -110 odds. This one is simple; Houston is a top five team in the league and Atlanta is one of the worst. I am kind of scared this game could be one of Houston’s famous dud games, however, the Hawks simply do not have anyone who can remotely stop James Harden on the perimeter, no one to stop him at the rim, and basically no one to guard anyone. The lob in the pick-and-roll will be there all day too, the Hawks have no rim protection. There is no reason for the Rockets to not win by more than 8.

Bet #3: The under (220.5) in Washington at Orlando for (-110) odds. The Wizards will be missing Bradley Beal, Rui Hachimura, and others; their prolific offense will struggle to score against the Magic’s elite defense. The Magic also are not a high-scoring team, all signs point to this being a low-scoring game.

Bet #4: Parlay of the Week: Houston covering, Washington/Orlando under, and the Orlando money line, resulting in a final payout of $437.36. I’ve already discussed the first two picks and the Orlando money line has been added to the parlay. The Magic are by far the superior team and they are at home. Easy money.
